Just watched a great interview with Juliette Lewis and this was her closing remark. …. One of the joys of living now is that we can reach out to find our communities and totally shut off from what we don’t like. If you don’t see it, it doesn’t exist in your world. Ms Lewis is a wonderful role model in many ways. She takes her work seriously, she works with others who do too. She lives and breathes her work, she totally commits to each and every project. She takes risks. I love hearing her talk about not liking repetition but instead ensuring overtime is new and lives and breathes in the second. That’s such an important lesson that took me a long time to learn in the studio! Not trying to recreate but instead being totally in the moment. It’s still hard to get it right! She’s way too busy to sweat the small stuff.
