Creation: 'Like a freight train'
Every piece of ‘art’ originates in the act of improvisation; in the demo, the sketch, the journal, the dance, the spontaneous, uncertain, trusting moment. It is my belief that technical work must be balanced with uninhibited voice work. It's my belief that singers/artists/musicians should practise being 'in the moment', mindfulness. The absence of analytical, critical thought. The act of free improvisation (spontaneous creativity) is something everyone can do. It’s something you practise. There is a clarity that comes from doing, from allowing a stream of consciousness, spontaneous creative flow.
I love these exercises in voice work. Particularly exploring the whole of the voice; delving into the 'imperfections'. Being free with the voice.
"When I first came to Jennie I had lost all my confidence in singing. I now earn a living as a singer and coach myself and am very thankful for the support and training I received. I highly recommend her to anyone of any level". Mariam B. Fronts her own band/Cabaret.
