Exploring Artistic Pathways
There are many ways to be a vocal and musical artist. If recognition is what you’re after, this is a great interview. Particularly the sections on ‘Ambition’ at 31:35 and ‘What Makes an Artist Great’ at 39:30. Recognition, fame, and fortune do not have to be the goal of your artistry, but if they are, this is definitely worth a listen. 🙂
The Essence of a Great Artist
For Linda (Vocalist, Artist, Songwriter, Producer—the list goes on!), the essence of a great musical artist lies in their vulnerability, empowerment, and egoless collaboration. She believes musical artists should be individuals who uplift others, explore endless creative possibilities, and know who they are. In her view, a true musical artist uses their voice not only to express themselves but also to amplify those who may not have a platform, embodying confidence and evolution in their craft. I couldn’t agree more.
Embracing Intuition and Live Performance
I love her intuitive, fast approach to songwriting and production (she has learned the skills that enable this over many years). Her focus on live performance (again, this is a choice—depends on what you’re after) and her big, big heart are what truly stand out.
